Kiera

My name is Kiera and this is my sign name.

I am deaf and I wear a hearing device.

At school we're always taught in both Auslan and English, and I love that part of school and the teachers are very, very good.

My Auslan Day video was actually very humorous. It was about a man and a bee accidentally flew into his glass of drink and he swallowed it. So I came up with the story by first having a good think about it, then I wrote down my ideas and showed it to my teacher. Then I signed the story to my teacher and she helped refine my Auslan.

I love learning so many different things at school, especially art. It's my absolute favourite subject. Art really, really is.
