A record-breaking $198,000 was raised for NextSense at the 2023 ‌Qantas Pathfinders Revue, making it the most successful show in its long history.

Since 1967, Qantas Pathfinders has raised over $8 million to support children with hearing and vision loss through creative events and activities.

A theatrical extravaganza featuring skits, singing and dancing, the Pathfinders Revue has been described by audience members as “fabulous”, “hilarious”, “cheeky”, and “amazing”.

Held at Norths Cammeray Club in Sydney from 31 October to 4 November, it was written, directed, and produced by talented former and current Qantas staff, who all volunteered their time and talents. All proceeds from ticket sales were donated to NextSense.

In a nod to a changing of the guard at Australia’s national carrier in 2023, the theme was ‘Qaronation’, with VIPs including CEO Vanessa Hudson making an appearance.

NextSense Chief Executive Chris Rehn thanked everyone who put their support behind the exceptional show.

“Thank you to all the talented cast and organisers who once again put on the most incredible show for a great cause, and to everyone who came along to enjoy the performance,” he said.

This latest generous donation by Qantas Pathfinders will go such a long way in supporting our clients who are deaf or hard of hearing, blind or have low vision.

— Chris Rehn, NextSense Chief Executive

“I look forward to continuing our long and valued association with Qantas Pathfinders again this year as the Revue celebrates its 50th anniversary.”
