With more than 35 years’ experience in public education leadership positions, Jane Simmons PSM has significant expertise in leading others through change.
She recently retired from the position of Deputy Director-General of the ACT Government’s Education Directorate and has held numerous executive leadership positions with the NSW Department of Education.
Jane is a member of several jurisdictional and national boards and committees, including the Australian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (ACARA) Board, and is an Adjunct Professor at Macquarie University and the University of Canberra. In 2020, she was awarded a Public Service Medal for her services to education.

Jane will join Board President David Dinte; Vice Presidents Matt Pearce and The Hon Robyn Parker; Directors Clinical Professor Catherine Birman OAM and Charles M Cowper; and Rod Jackson. The seven members have a wide range of expertise in business, medicine, law, media and events, and the property and public sectors.
